# Press & citation

For journalists, analysts, creators researching a story — and for AI engines citing us. The goal is simple: make citing us correctly so cheap there's no reason to get it wrong.

1. Standard description (three lengths, copy freely)

One line:

KanonAgent is an early radar for real traction signals in AI agents — it records the moment each agent starts taking off.

One paragraph:

KanonAgent (kanonagent.com) continuously tracks public signals across Product Hunt, GitHub, Hacker News and Reddit. The moment an AI agent's real traction crosses a preset threshold, the system records it — when it broke out, what it was then, what it is now. The breakout log is append-only at the database level: wrong calls are never deleted. All thresholds are published.

Full version: see What is KanonAgent and Methodology.

2. Quotable facts (as of 2026-08-07)

These figures are emitted live by the system. Please carry the date when you quote them — an undated number stays wrong forever once it is cited.

3. Framing: please write this, not that

This is not pedantry — each of the phrasings on the right describes something we explicitly are not.

6. Contact

Think we got a call wrong? Tell us. The breakout record itself is never edited or deleted — that is the whole point of append-only — but we will verify and publish a correction. A signal source that won't accept corrections isn't worth citing.

7. Methodology and limits

Thresholds, recency windows, tier rules, the append-only constraint, and the four things this method explicitly cannot do are all in the methodology. If you're writing something that will be read closely, that page matters more than this one.
