Partners sit across from each other. Each hand, the hakem — the player who
won the previous hand, or the dealer's partner on the first — looks at
their cards and calls the trump suit. From there it's a straight
trick-taking battle: follow suit if you can, trump if you can't, and try to
out-muscle the other team. First team to win 7 hands takes the match — and
if you sweep a hand 7-0, that's a **kot**, a clean sweep worth celebrating.
